The Imaginarium is a family run, independent bookshop in the heart of the New Forest.
At The Imaginarium we believe that books are more than just stories; they are portkeys to new worlds, emotions and perspectives. Alien races and the past and the future and magic and war and love and Dragons. Oh, how we love Dragons.
So many stories, so little time. How do I choose?
We get it. The internet is full of noise – everybody wants to sell you something but nobody understands ‘you’. Don’t worry, there is a simple solution. Choose a bookseller, not an algorithm.
Let us be your Gandalf and guide you through the wealth of adventures hiding beneath the covers and help you to choose your next Narnia, Navarre or Neverland.

Meet the team
Run by husband and wife duo Daniel and Robyn, their aim is to bring together a community of readers, writers and those with a love of stories in the New Forest and wider.
Robyn has always dreamed of opening a bookshop, ever since she discovered the wonderful adventures readers could have within the pages of a book. After working with children, young people and families for most of her career, Robyn has a keen interest in people. With Daniel's retail experience ; and Robyn's passion for all things literature, they decided to follow their dreams. And thus the Imaginarium was born.
Together with the Shop Dog Willow, they hope to be a staple for the book loving residents of the New Forest, bringing a personal touch to the shop and encouraging new readers and writers.
Jayde - Bookseller
Jayde has an unrivalled passion for books. She reads across a diverse range of genres and isn’t afraid to speak her mind. Put your trust in her for a recommendation and you are sure to be rewarded with an engaging and entertaining choice. She also makes a mean cup of tea, if you ask nicely!
Robyn - Owner & Shop Manager
Robyn has always dreamed of owning her own bookshop, ever since she discovered the wonderful adventures that lay waiting for readers to discover within the pages of a book. After working with children, young people and families for most of her career she has a keen interest in people and bringing them together.
Daniel - Owner, Accounts & Web
With over 20 years of retail experience both at the coal face and in high-level management, Daniel is the ‘business’ counterpart to Robyn’s passion for books. You’ll not often see him in the shop, but he’s always beavering away on the website and social media.
He is also a keen club-level runner and musician
Lola & Willow - Barketing Dept.
Shop-Doggos Lola and Willow are pretty useless, if we’re honest! But what they lack in real world skills and opposable thumbs, they make up for with cuddles and photo opportunities!
They can’t wait to meet you, and your Doggos!
